The first thing he did was take a lot pictures for me before asking me to check in. He was a very professional photographer, he took from a lot of angles and backgrounds. The food and service were very exceptional. The onsen pass was also included but the best one was from the ryokan itself. You can have the cave onsen all to yourself without reservation.

The service was impeccable and the in-room dinner was elegant. We also enjoyed exploring the village and taking the gondola up Mt. Rokko.

The natural onsen's waters were very soothing, that it also had an outside pool was great. The staff was extremely friendly, suggesting places to see, and good restaurants. Their English was really good, and we asked help for another reservation and they called them in our name, and sorted out the problem for us. The location of the hotel is very close to the train station, and the main historical attraction (the Himeji castle) is in walking distance - so, it was a great place for a two day trip.
