All expectations were exceeded - everything was clean, comfortable and the food was really good. Particular mention goes to the fabulous attention of Fahim, and also Sudar and Sumit. Congratulations to front office team, housekeeping and the restaurant staff. Special mention to the dinner we organised on the terrace, it was superb!

h78 is an award-winning hotel situated just a stone's throw away from the turquoise blue sea and white sandy beaches of Maldives. We have been recognized for our exceptional customer service for nearly a decade and are one of the oldest hotels in the greater Male' area, offering consistent care and service to our guests. We booked h78 for me to rest before we began a long night flight to Istanbul. We are an elderly couple and I am still using a walker after hip surgery. We only had a few hours at h78 but they were memorable! First, they picked us up at the airport and took us to the hotel without charge. Then, we had not eaten since we began our trip from the Maldives, and our meal at The Catch Restaurant at the hotel was superb. My husband had the best fish and chips he'd ever eaten; a large piece of white fish (tuna was also available), perfectly breaded and fried to a golden hue. I had Tiger prawns, green beans, a salad. Then, because we could only stay for a few hours, they gave us free dessert: ice cream for my husband, and a banana split for me! Our room was small, but efficient. A comfortable bed (which was my priority), a well-equipped bathroom. But let me save the best for last: every member of the staff, those who met us at the airport, in the restaurant and hotel, was extremely kind and helpful. This aspect of travel for us (in our 80s) is really a make-or-break part of the experience. To find people who care for our well-being is essential and they were all there at h78. Also, as we drove through the town, it looked as if it was a lively place, with many restaurants and access to the beach. We do recommend it.

Situated along the coastline of Maafushi, Arena Beach Hotel features modern and tranquil accommodation with free WiFi access in the entire property including rooms. Guests can enjoy water sports activities such as diving, snorkelling and windsurfing on site. We were fetched by their staff from the jetty port, our luggage was loaded in a small vehicle to be dropped in the hotel which was only a short walk from the port. Ms. Hazel was very welcoming and friendly and would give us some tips on how to go about the island while on our way to the hotel. Upon checking in, we were given welcome drinks and wet towels to freshen up a bit while waiting for our rooms. Ms. Metri, the receptionist was kind and polite, very grateful for her to accommodate our requests and assigned us to our rooms with the best views. There was a basket of fresh fruits in our rooms, Comfy beds, and toiletries were already set in our rooms, wifi was fast, clean facilities, pool was also there (could've been with warm water as it was already windy on the 10th floor that time and it was too cold), hotel was on the beach front, very good location with a lot of shops/restaurants nearby. Mark in the beach bar was very informative and warm, even offered us a walk around. Breakfast was by the beach, we weren't able to fully dig in as we had to head on to our 7:30 am island tour. Wish we could've stayed longer to make the most of our rooms too.

Crystal Sands provides modern yet cosy rooms with free WiFi on Maafushi Island. Featuring its own restaurant, the property also has a tour desk, 24-hour front desk and garden for guests to relax in. Staff are able to converse in English and Mandarin Chinese. Amazing staff - helpfull with arranging speed boats, trips, renting umbrellas, nothing was a problem to them. And the food, oh God! That was something! Every single dish was delicious. Bikini beach is very close, so is the harbour and shopping options. The room equipment is slightly outdated but the room is still comfy. We can´t wait to come back! :)

The property is only a few steps away from the crystal clear waters of Maafushi Beach. Free WiFi access is available in the rooms. The room was large and lovely and cool. Pool very relaxing.

Newtown Inn, a property with a terrace, is situated in Hulhumale, 100 metres from Eastern/ Hulhumale beach, 6.8 km from Henveiru Park, as well as 7 km from Villa College QI Campus. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, full-day security and free WiFi. I liked everything!!! Everyone met us and accommodated us perfectly. They even gave us breakfast in the morning for the trip. Well done!!!
