We stayed for 5 days for our honeymoon and were properly pampered. Amazing freshly cooked breakfasts on a balcony overlooking the beach, cocktails in the swim up bar (all made with fresh fruit and homemade syrups), and incredibly comfortable beds - the pillows are better than ours at home! The beach is far cleaner than some of the other hotels on the ideal, with very little seaweed. It's also in a great location, halfway between the town and the walk to Punta Mosquito, so it's really quiet. All the staff are fantastic, so kind and friendly and all speak wonderful English. The walk to town is about 15 minutes down the beach, or a taxi is about 5 minutes (150 pesos). We had a really excellent time.

Set on tropical Isla Mujeres island, this boutique hotel offers swimming pools, massage service and direct access to the Caribbean Sea. Some suites have a private balcony with sea views. Carefully decorated and well equipped room. Drinking water baloon, coffee and beach towels highly appreciated. Calm and quiet. Staff smiley and efficient, communication flawless. Good wifi reaching the beach area.

This secluded guest house is located outside the village of Tulum, only a short cab ride of the beach. The property is surrounded by tropical gardens. Really welcoming and friendly people. A small hotel kept with love and lots of details. Beautiful lush garden, lots of privacy and all you need for the room and the pool. They kindly changed my dates, stored my bag, helped me with travel arrangements and useful tips around Tulum. Rooms are spacious, beds are good, showers hot. Coffee maker in the room and hot/cold water refill available. Really, a great choice!

This hacienda-style hotel is located on Playa del Carmen's Fifth Avenue, one block from the beach. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in every guest room. Perfect, centrally located and yet quiet. The entire staff was really nice and helpful. Would love to come back
