It provides modern rooms, some of which feature a wood burning fire and private outdoor spa. Spectacular views, most beautiful place i've ever stayed in NZ, spacious room, and absolutely clean. Very good location near the town or go for hiking in the National park( both in 10 minutes drive). Definitely worth staying for more than 1 night.

The State Hotel is a 15 room boutique hotel and only a 5-minute walk to the New Plymouth Coastal Walkway. I'm so glad that i chose this hotel for my stay in New Plymouth. It was definitely the best hotel on my trip. It has high-quality furnishings and a great interior design. The fragrance alone when you enter the hotel is great. Good location for Restaurants and visiting New Plymouth in generell. Free Parking lots and fast WLAN aswell.
