Located 300 metres from the main square and Mercaderes street and right behind the Monastery of Santa Catalina (built in 1579), Las Torres de Ugarte offers free Wi-Fi and buffet breakfast in central... Great location in the centre of Arequipa. Everything was on walking distance. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They have a hotel turtle in the garden named Lola. Fantastic to see a 45 year old walk around when you get out of your bed every morning :-). Good breakfast, they make you your eggs of choice in the morning.

Set in a refurbished mansion with charming colonial style architecture, La Casa de Melgar is set in Arequipa’s historical district. La casa de Melgar Rooms are divided by beautiful little courtyards full of flowers and trees. The staff are welcoming and friendly and very helpful, in particular Lydia, who speaks good English, and organised an early check-in for our morning arrival on the Cruz Del Sur bus. She also booked a taxi for our departure, which was far better than dealing with uber. There are a number of laundries just nearby which is very convenient when you are travelling around a lot. This hotel is a very tranquil place to stay in a big busy city. We had two very good night’s sleep owing to the peace and quiet. Our room was enormous 22 feet by 16 feet with a fine arched brick ceiling 12 to 15 feet high. The extremely comfortable double bed measured a huge 7 foot by 7 foot with four - nice! Everywhere in this hotel is filled with old world character and charm. From the 11 foot high double French doors with shutters to the thoughtful provision of a wardrobe, bedside tables, 2 sofas, a desk and a rack to put your baggage on. The solid thick stone walls are cool by day in the summer and warm at night. However, the 18th century styling does not in any way compromise the modern facilities. Wi-Fi is strong and consistent. There are electrical sockets all around the room for charging phones. The rooms are well lit. The large en-suite bathroom has a strong shower over a bath with lots of hot water. A hairdryer, clean fresh towels and soft loo roll are all provided free of charge and the room is impeccably clean at all times.

Set in a charming colonial-style building with Spanish galleries, Majestad Boutique Hotel offers nicely decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi just 1 block from picturesque La Merced church. Excellent staff and facility. The hotel is like an oasis in the inside; so serene and beautiful. They allowed us to check in super early since our bus arrived at 5am and helped us with tours and made our stay comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and lots of space inside the hotel to hang out as well. Overall, an excellent value for Arequipa!

Lovely location and facilities. Nice garden setting - hot springs were great. Excellent staff and restaurant and breakfast were equally good

Yanque is beautiful- great walks, ruins and hot springs to soak away any soreness from hiking. This is a real gem of a place to stay. It is very professionally run and all the staff are lovely and really attentive and helpful. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable and tranquil. The restaurant food is great, as was the breakfast. We had booked for 2 nights but stayed for 3. Thank you Miskiwasi.

Killawasi Lodge is situated in the heart of the famous Colca Valley, in the village of Yangue. Surrounded by panoramic green landscapes, it offers modern accommodations with private balconies. Great stay at Killawasi, very comfortable and clean. Jose was always helpful. A lovely place to switch off for a few days.

Large historic family compound with 15 - 20 en suite rooms. A 10 to 15 minute walk to the historic sites. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff with Antonio in the lead are excellent.
