As remarkable as it used to be even 10 years back.... The staff is very polite and helpful. Wholesome breakfast with Mediterranean, Indian, Turkish and international cuisine , well-equipped fitness centre gym, extremely clean pool and excellent sauna/whirlpool facilities. Located very close to one of the best shopping malls - Kanyun and Metro / ample public transport, an iconic Turkish architecture mosque right across the main arterial, yet in the middle of the business/ financial district of Istanbul.

Tastefully decorated in classic style, the rooms include an LCD TV with cable and satellite channels, air conditioning, minibar and a private bathroom. 24-hour room service is available. Some rooms also offer sea views. The hotel is walking distance from many of the main sights and attractions, but the area itself is very quiet. The area around the main sights is very crowded and loud, but it is very quiet around the hotel. You also can't really hear the mosques in the morning, so none of us experienced any problems with sleeping. The hotel itself was not loud, but I suppose that might be different in a busier season. We didn't really have any loud neighbors, even though there were families in the hotel at the same time with us. Families with kids seem to like the hotel, but it is also popular with couples of all age. The rooms were as promised and very clean. The room with the Bosphorus view indeed had a view, and it was a great view of the Galata tower and the Bosphorus itself and the boats on it. There is tea and coffee in the room that are refilled at every cleaning, as well as free water bottles. The staff is incredibly friendly. The breakfast is not the same every day, which was great for us because we stayed for 9 days. There are plenty of fruit and vegetables, so it is possible to have a healthy breakfast. My mother had her birthday during the trip, and the hotel staff got her a cake and sang happy birthday at breakfast on the day. We did not ask for it, so the staff had to plan it themselves and notice that her birthday is during the trip (she wasn't even the one to make the reservation). This was very thoughtful and sweet, and the cake was delicious. The hotel has buttons you can press to not be disturbed or to request the room to be cleaned, instead of the usual sign on the door, so that was pretty convenient. I think this hotel offers great value for money, and I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family if they visit Istanbul. I have definitely been in much worse, but more expensive hotels before.

Some rooms also have a desk, sofa and a coffee machine. Very Good Location near Blue Mosque and less than 10min walking from Top Kapi Palace. Breakfast menu changes everyday (a Good one). Rooms are fit for the need, ok Size, ok bathrooms, Great shower pressure.

Located conveniently in historic peninsula, just 300 metres from the sea, Hotel Peninsula features air-conditioned rooms equipped with a refrigerator. Sultanahmet Square is just 300 metres and the Blue Mosque. The location was outstanding.. and the breakfast at sunrise on the roof terrace with views of the river and blue mosque blew me away.. x

Right in the middle of trendy Tunel-Galata area, Daru Sultan is 350 metres to the iconic Galata Tower. Located right across Sishane Metro entrance, it offers elegantly decorated rooms with air conditioning and a satellite TV.

There are also several restaurants, cafés, bars and fashion designer boutiques on the lively streets of Galata and Asmalimescit area. Airport shuttle service can be provided at a surcharge. This hotel is a wonderful place to stay for anybody who would like to soak up something of the traditional Ottoman atmosphere with all the associated standard of service. Chandeliers and paintings. We had a large room with high ceiling and a beautiful view over a part of the Bosphorus. The lobby was large with many armchairs where you could settle in and relax. The staff and particularly the reception staff and porter and cleaning staff were really very helpful, smiling, professional and efficient. The breakfast on the top floor of the building was really wonderful and of a large variety as you sat and looked out over the panorama of the city. Location is particularly good since the hotel is located on the corner of a wider road with a metro entrance immediately in front of the hotel doors. We took a taxi directly from the international Airport, but you could also take the metro if you don’t have a lot of baggage and so save money. There is a small supermarket nearby on the main road side of the hotel and a cheaper restaurant, among others, that is on the stairs further up towards the main shopping street. And Galata tower and the Tunel historical rack railway downhill towards the bridge to Sultanahmet is not far away from there. A great experience for travellers for the price and romantic place for a couple. We hope to stay there again.
