The owners of the guesthouse were kind and accommodating. They asked us if we needed something from the shop when they went there to buy some things. When we required accessible rooms in the booking process, they contacted us and sent us some videos to make sure their accommodation was OK for us. The toilet and the shower/bathtub could be challenging for some wheelchair users but it worked for us. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean, with large windows that offered us stunning views. The whole facility has the aura of tranquility. If we stayed in the area for longer time, we would like to spend a day just at the guesthouse relaxing and enjoying the views. If you are there by car (which is the only option, I would say), Betty's Bay penguins are really close. The hosts told us about some other wheelchair accessible attractions, for example the Harold Porter Botanical Garden.

All of the rooms at Swellendam Guest House have a veranda with direct access to the garden. The rooms feature a satellite TV, a minibar and a fan. Some rooms offer views of the Langeberg Mountains. The room was really nice and it was clear that a lot of thought was put into the decorations. The car was washed overnight which was a nice surprise in the morning. The host were great, they even helped us out when we freaked out about a big spider in the bathroom before we wanted to go to sleep. Breakfast was also really nice

Featuring European-style comforts, each of the suites include air conditioning and views of the eco-reserve. Also included are granite-floor bathrooms with under-tile heating and heated towel rail. We spent only one night in this historic house surrounded by beautiful nature and views. An ostrich was seen on the territory. The staff was very polite and helpful. Spacious rooms. They also offer a lot of activities, but we didn't have time to take advantage of them. Otherwise, we really liked it and didn't want to leave.

Hostess, location, every space at the guesthouse was lovely, the bar, the breakfast, the service. I took my friends for a night, to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was such a pleasant experience given that all my friends, despite being over 30 - were feeling quite festive but our host was so lovely, understanding and really made us feel good. We all loved our rooms and the facilities, as well as the breakfast. Our host also advised us on a lovely restaurant - Dutchies - which is a short walk away so that was a winner too! 100% would recommend.
