I got an upgrade to a room with a full view of Neuschwanstein Castle. I could even enjoy a view of the castle from the bathtub. The room (Lohengrin themed) also came with a balcony overlooking the castle. The staff was super friendly and can arrange tickets to the castle for you. The hotel also has wellness options, and I booked a great massage there. Tip: Check out the Alpsee mountain lake, a 15 minute walk from the hotel. It is close to the Hohenschwangau Castle and absolutely gorgeous. It was really hot during my stay, but the lake was nice and cool; it was ideal for a refreshing swim.
