I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and what truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Tiffany and the team was incredibly friendly from the moment I arrived, always greeting me with a warm smile and offering assistance whenever needed. The room itself was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We had a great experience in this hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park or not!

Our stay here was truly one of the best experiences we had in China. The hosts were absolutely amazing — not only do they speak English (which was rare during our trip in China), but they also went above and beyond to help us organize our time in the mountains. Thanks to their support, we managed to visit Zhangjiajie National Park, the Glass Bridge, and Tianmen Mountain in just two full days. They even helped us purchase the entrance tickets in advance. On the day we visited Tianmen Mountain and the Glass Bridge, they arranged a reliable driver who stayed with us all day at a very reasonable price — it really felt like having a personal guide. There’s absolutely no need to stay elsewhere if you want experience as much as possible from this region — staying here is both convenient and pleasant. On our departure day, they even helped us with a transfer to the train station at 3:30 in the morning and prepared a small breakfast for us to take on the train. Breakfast at the hotel was great, with both continental and Chinese options available. They also serve dinner on-site with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The room is clean and has an incredible view to the mountains.

Magnificient views to the Valley and mountains, Sunset. Warm and clean pool. The staff were very accommodating, helping us with all kinds of things: providing vegetarian food, helping buy tickets to and dropping us off at the gate of the natural park, helping us plan the trip. Especially, we would like to thank the manager Rain who was easy to communicate to, fast in responses and spoke great english.

This guesthouse is an absolute GEM.It is run by a lovely family ,who are all very welcoming and friendly.Carol speaks good English and gives excellent advice about the activities in the area .We loved being there and were very sad to leave. Carol organised taxis ,park entry tickets for us, and accomodation at our next destination.I cannot recommend Tongfu enough.We ate breakfast and dinner there too and the meals were tasty and fresh.

This Chinese homestay was recommended by my friend because he walked the whole area and it's the closest entrance gate to Avatar. We chose the paid service from the airport to the scenic spot. The boss sent us to the gate of the scenic spot every day and picked us up for free at the gate of the scenic spot at night. After tasting Chinese food, I found that I love Chinese food.

This was honestly one of my favourite stays of all time and I have stayed at a lot of hotels. Lucas is extremely friendly and helpful with park routes and the hotel is located in a very peaceful part of ZJJ away from the busier areas. They also have a pool table, outdoor pool, and laundry facility. Hope to stay again in the future. :)

The receptionist was fantastic. Provided us with a map, and showed us where to go, even offered to drop us at the west gate entrance of the park at no charge. When we checked out, he organised cars to drop us off at our next hotel in the city of Zhangjiajie at a discount. Exceptional service.

Everything was perfect, Carol speaks really good in english, the restaurant under the reception was super good for a good price. We went to the national forest park and she helped us a lot to plan the days based on the weather. 100% recommended🙏🏽

First of all, the location: the house is situated just inside the Zhangjiajie Forest National Park, by the West Gate. If you plan to really see the Park, this is the best place to stay for sure since it does take a good hour from Zhangjiajie City to reach. Instead of getting up super early every day, we could easily just walk outside the house and wave for the bus to stop and let us on, then we’d drive maybe 5 minutes (if at all) and arrive at the cable car station. The facilities are amazing, too. The room was beautiful and nicely renovated and it even had one of those neat automatic toilets. The house had multiple seating areas outside, like a terrace and a pool (which was closed since it was the low season), but our absolute favorite was the patio by the river. It’s so peaceful and idyllic and really lets you appreciate the natural scenery. Secondly: the food! Delicious breakfast and dinner! Most importantly: our hosts! These people are the warmest, kindest, most gracious hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Especially Nihong. Our time in Zhangjiajie would not have been the same without her. She was our tour guide for the first two full days, showing us so much of the park we would have never seen otherwise. She took time out of her day for us for three straight days just to make sure we had the best possible experience. We learned so much about Tujia culture as well, which was so interesting. Her English is so good and she was always interested in learning more, and in turn she helped us learn a few Chinese words and phrases. And her husband drove us to the Railway Station when we had a very early train to catch, which was such a big help. We could not have been more lucky with these kind people! All in all, if you’re thinking of staying here, please do! You won’t regret it. We certainly hope we can return one day! Xiexie! Wo ai ni Zhangjiajie!
