The hotel is located outside Kobe near a train station (about 7-10m walk). There are signs on the train station that guide you to the hotel. The train runs pretty often but less often than in the city. The room with a view of the bridge was excellent. We enjoyed watching the ships and traffic. The hotel itself is magnificent. The breakfast had a lot of choice and was really good.

I love the theme of the accommodation which was a mix of Japanese and Greek beach house theme. It overlooks a beach with a beautiful patio. It is a perfect stay for summer although we came in autumn.
The facilities are extremely clean and modern. It is also comfortable and spacious enough for 4 people.
Also love the location. We got our coffee fix from Starbucks which was 2 min stroll down. Really love the whole beach side feel. And it offers a beautiful sunset that made time stopped for a moment. I love it.

24 hour front desk. Macdonald fast food is right next to hotel if really want quick food. Room is clean.
I absolutely love that they have a one time use plastic bag wrapped on the TV remote control. Feel so hygiene. I think it is very dirty that everyone touched the remote and it is not something the cleaner would clean it frequently. So lovely to have the remote wrapped. Nice.

We used this The Grand Nikko Awaji for visiting family recently moved to Awaji. The room was stunning and the view exceptional. While researching the Grand Nikko English website, room selection and planning our mode of transport from the airport, we found that it was not as comprehensive as the Japanese and not being able to read Japanese was a problem. We phoned the hotel and the wonderful CRM manager Y Uchimizu went above and beyond helping us get organised with transport and room selection. The bed was comfortable, room spacious, balcony accessible. Bathroom was fabulous with good shower and bathtub. Western breakfast was average, with poor variety, cold eggs, non-crispy bacon, no wholemeal bread assortment, . My partner loved the Japanese breakfast, which she said was delicious in every way and had great variety. Coffee as often in Japan was mediocre.
