Very remote from where the tourists are - I had a car so it was easy to access and easy to drive my big luggage up the hill. Ryokan was very spacious and had all the amenities needed (toiletries, hakata, slippers, extra bedding if needed), and the private onsen was perfect for a dip. Cleanliness was up to standards. Service from the staff was great. I had both dinner kaiseki and breakfast in the main building (only a short 1-2 min walk from my ryokan with private onsen) and it was delicious!

The location and the view was spectacular. The owner/s (?) were super friendly! I did not expect such a beautiful, clean, gorgeous room and great breakfast with an excellent view over the lake for such a small price. ありがとうございます♪

Meals were huge and delicious. Onsen was incredibly relaxing. Futons were incredibly comfortable.

we loved everything! baths are not mixed and you can use it anytime. the food is from another world!
