What a stunning hotel. This is easily my favourite hotel of all time. It delivers on aesthetic and atmosphere. Yes, it is dark. Yes, it is dimly lit. That's the point. It's meant to represent the gloomy atmosphere and elegance of a European castle. It's even more impressive when decorated for Xmas. It's clean, comfortable and intimate. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and guests are quiet and respectful. It's conveniently located to Taipei Main Station, and Q Square.
We really enjoyed Palais de Chine and found it incredibly worth it.

The hostel provides coupon for breakfast in some affiliated restaraunts around the hostel. You have to hunt for them. It's fun to hunt for a new place to eat every moring. It might not be convenient for some people, but it's fun for me as a traveler to do some tresure hunt. The room, bed and facilities are good. The bed is convenient with power sockets and a big locker and space next to your bed. The location is super convenient and very easy to find as it is right next to a 7-11. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
