This was my second week-long stay with my two teenage daughters in an excellent family room. These consist of one bedroom with two double beds and one bedroom with a single double bed, and a shared bathroom. This is offers more opportunity for family life than two standard double rooms. While the rooms do not have much storage, they are quite large and we could easily leave our suitcases on the floor. The breakfast in the cafe was very good. We received each a $10 voucher per night, which was about enough for a coffee and a croissant or a pain au chocolate. While this was perfect for our needs, guest that want a large American breakfast might not find this ideal. The Upper West Side is a residential area with lots of different restaurants with different types of food. My daughters particularly enjoyed having different food every night and being able to walk back to the hotel in a few minutes afterward. Importantly, both local and express subway trains stop at the station on 72nd street. This makes for excellent connections with downtown.
