I don't usually stay in hostels but I was pleasantly surprised by MedioMundo. The bed's were very comfortable and had curtains for added privacy. The bathrooms were spotless pretty much all the time. Would definitely recommend for a good value for money stay in Montevideo

The dorm rooms were well air-conditioned (there was a heatwave when i was there so this was super important) and bunks had curtains for privacy. Rooms were a good size and did not feel cramped. Beds and pillows were comfortaable too. Also probably the most well equipped and cleanest hostel kitchen I have seen. Toilets were clean too.
Michael and Vincent were amazing hosts - very warm and friendly, giving tips for Montevideo and travelling in Uruguay.

Fantastic hostel for proper travellers, staff are friendly and helpful (speak multiple languages) hostel is always clean. Great atmosphere & mix of people, old & young from different backgrounds. Convenience stores and restraints close by. 2 mins to the super chilled parque rodó, 5 min to the beach, 15 min to Centro commercial. Everything excellent!

Hotel located right across the road from a huge shopping center. Close to the beach. Especially suitable for sleeping and walking. Clean, comfortable hotel. Breakfast is okay (with vegetables and fruits). Excellent location for those looking for shopping and lots of pubs and restaurants on the street. This area is better than the old city and the port. A newer area is more modern and more sympathetic.
