Everything, especially the atmosphere you perceive. The hostel is very nice, same as the people working there which are helpful with tips. We were staying in a private room at the first floor and the balcony view was amazing. Much better then in pictures

This has been one of our best travel experiences. The entire team are exceptional hosts - warm, friendly, attentive. They work so hard to make this a nice stay for everyone, no matter your age or background. La Masia has different types of rooms, and we had one of the smaller standard rooms. It was cozy and peaceful, and the space outside is just fabulous. There are multiple benches and hammocks to hang out, or you just roam the beautiful garden with its trees full of birds, or have a chat with one of the staff (which was possible despite our bad Spanish!) They also have a good kitchen, with a hearty Colombian breakfast in the morning and solid Colombian dishes in the evening. And someone is always there to make you a coffee or tea in the afternoon and tell you to relax. Note that this hotel is located a bit outside of the town of Salento - but that makes it even better. You will not find the same peace in the town after a day of hiking or exploration. It's absolutely worth paying an Uber/ Taxi. There is a kiosk nearby where you can buy snacks and water, or you walk to the main road to grab a bite. It's a safe and village-like community where everyone greets you on the way. Thank you, Diego, Joanna and Jon and the entire team - we hope to come back one day.

This place is absolutely gorgeous, photos do not do this place justice, I was not expecting such lush and beautiful surroundings, the wildlife was stunning, humming birds and beautiful butterflies of every colour and more, the beautiful mountains and calm vibes are just marvellous.. the staff are so lovely and kind.. Thank you Doris and Cielo for your love and friendship.. it was sad to leave but we have a memories that will last forever..🥺💝💜🙏🏼 the food was so yummy too😋🤤 we ended up staying for more time because we didn't want to leave.. everyone must experience this place..

The location is wonderfull, truly one of our nicest stays in colombia so far. Lovely view from the small Bath at our lodge, to really relax and enjoy nature after one of the hikes in cocora! Also nice staff, that will bring you without any problems to the entry of valle de cocora! And the bed was amazing for a good night rest! Just great!
