Comfortable accommodation attached to, but entirely independent from, the house. Wonderfully comfortable bed (we slept like logs), well-equipped shower room, fenced terrace overlooking the garden and a secure paddock across the drive wherein our dog could race around to his heart’s content; parking immediately outside. We walked into the village for an early evening drink at The Crown (the pub had various seating options, as well as an enticing menu). All we could hear was birdsong there and back; the location really is idyllic. Dogs abound - in the pub, being walked, at Giffords Hall … our dog was in heaven. Plenty of footpaths. WiFi in this area isn’t the best, but that didn’t detract from the enjoyment of our overnight stay. This part of Suffolk is well worth exploration.

The property was extremely clean and felt so homely. It was lovely to relax in the evening with our two boys (ages eleven and nine) with Netflix. Lots of thoughtful little extras like hot water bottles, hair dryers in both bedrooms. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. We asked for the heating to be turned up as my wife really feels the cold and Richard came over and sorted very quickly.
