We found paradise at Green Island Riverside Homestay. The place is incredibly beautiful. Located directly by the river Kadalundi, we spent three very relaxing days in the peaceful ambience of the very well maintained garden with the view over the river with its bird sanctuary and the mangrove forest. Our hosts Saheer and hues family were very welcoming and caring, they supported us from the very beginning and also provided flavourful food for breakfast and dinner. The boat trip to the birds sanctuary and mangrove forest was also a beautiful experience where we could dive into the nature's wholesome beauty that you usually only get to see in TV documentaries. Located approximately 45 min from Calicut center, this is a perfect place to experience both: the peaceful calm natural surroundings as well as the busy vibes of city. It was very satisfying. Me and my family had an amazing time,sitting at the deck and overlooking the river. The room we had was also looking over the river bank and it was stunning. the service was Excellent. The meals were given at the right time. And there were no hurdles at all. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed chatting with them. Our room was lovely with everything we expected. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location was good for finding a beer and a great place to eat dinner and breakfast, but SH66 is under construction so it's noisy and dusty. Good value too.
