Beautiful property and well appointed rooms. Lovely decor and amazing food. We were thoroughly spoilt by Claire and the team at Warden’s House. The daily safaris were an excellent bonus - we saw a leopard!! We had an unforgettable stay and can’t wait to go back.

A magnificent place in the middle of the nature. They had a beautiful garden with many flowers and herbs. We had a dinner here and it was the best dinner we had in Sri Lanka. We booked it in advance to be sure. We also bought the breakfast to go for Yala safari. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and they were fluent english speakers. They had parking for our rental car.

Very remote location in the wilderness. We saw water buffalo bathing in the evening. Very peaceful surrounded by wilderness. Loved it :)

I had the pleasure of staying at Farm Villa Resort in Katharagama for two nights, and it was a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish! 🌿 From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and heartfelt. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. Special mention to the front office team – truly a gem in hospitality! The room was spacious, the bathroom was very big, and the overall comfort . The clean and inviting swimming pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing in the serene atmosphere. What makes Farm Villa Resort truly special is its beautiful location surrounded by nature. The resort is set amidst lush paddy fields, and there's a charming little lake flowing through the property, creating a peaceful, scenic environment ideal for rest and reflection. I enjoyed walking through the paddy fields, listening to the birds in the mornings, and even got to pick fresh fruits from the garden! 🍌🌾 It's also conveniently located – just a short walk to the sacred Kirivehera and Katharagama Dewalaya, making it perfect for both pilgrims and nature lovers.One of the biggest highlights was the full-day Yala Safari arranged by the hotel – an absolutely amazing adventure! 🐘🦁 We saw incredible wildlife, and everything was perfectly organized with a knowledgeable guide.The food was another standout. The traditional Sri Lankan dinner was flavorful and authentic, clearly made with care and love. The breakfast offered plenty of variety, and every meal was beautifully presented. The dining team was attentive and courteous, adding to the overall great experience.In summary, Farm Villa Resort offers far more than just a place to stay – it's a place to connect with nature, enjoy delicious food, and experience genuine Sri Lankan hospitality. A well deserved 10/10. The Den at Yala is a beautiful property with lots of character. The rooms were so clean and spacious. The location is superb close to national park entrance especially if early morning start. Surrounded by nature so you feel when you arrive relaxed. The meals were delicious. Gabrielle and Sanjana the couple who own and run the property were super friendly organised a safari for us. They made our family trip to Sri Lanka very special. Huge thank you from the Hogan family.

The room is perfect. Spacious and comfortable. The open bathroom an extra detail. Perfect for a quiet retriet and safari days. The hotel staff also assisted organizing safari and taxi to our next location. Also cooked dinner for us once!

We had an amazing stay! The team was incredibly accommodating and generous—surprising us with a free upgrade and always ready to help, even with last-minute requests like organizing a safari and a fishing trip. The food was delicious, and Jula, who manages the house, was both precise and friendly. Dimuthu and his family were attentive and always willing to go the extra mile to meet our needs. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and well-organized getaway.
