Best place we have ever stayed (and we travel quite alot). The rooms were okay. What made this our facorite place ever was the location, views and the staff. We will definitely come back. This place is a gem.

Evertlything about this place was to our satisfaction. Comfortable bed,pillow and quietness.The room though not big was spacious enough and we didn't feel cramped.The breakfast was excellent and varied and seved on the balcony at your convenince where you can enjoy the most awesome scenic view of the mountains. It truly is a wonderful sight even on a cloudy day. The staff too were eceptionally friendly and helpful and assisted us on a few occasions. The location too is very convenient for town and 9 arch bridge and little Adam's peak are both within walking distance. This place really suited our needs perfectly and as we plan to visit Ella again we are sure to stay here. Well done to the management of this place for giving their guests excellent value for money.

I highly recommend this place! The biggest highlight is the wonderful host. The breakfast is delicious and filling – enough energy to climb all the mountains! The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, and the view from the balcony is absolutely stunning.

Naadhika and her family were the perfect hosts. Absolutely polite, accommodative and helpful. Naadhika's mother made us delicious home cooked breakfasts and dinners. We were tired of eating outside food during our trip, so their food was a good healthy break for us. Naadhika's mom is an awesome cook. Their homestay was probably the best experience we had amongst the six other homestays we stayed during our two week trip. We rented their scooter for two days which they offered at a lower price than other commercial places. They even accommodated our request to extend our stay by one day at the last minute and modified their other bookings. Naadhika has a very pleasant personality and is always smiling and her mother is a lovely and sweet lady. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable stay, and if this place is available, please book it right away. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here if I ever visit Ella.

Great (a bit remote, but quiet) location. tuktuk taxi is provided right by the hotel staff. staff is super friendly.

The entirely wooden home was an amazing sight and the view was even better. We arrived in the evening and woke up to a spectacular sight hearing the river/waterfalls down below. Absolutely stunning. The family that runs Wood Palace is amazing and has been great in accommodating us with anything we needed during our stay, first making arrangements for me as I was planning to propose to my girlfriend and later whilst our son got sick. The amazing starry nights from the balcony and fireflies lighting up the view topped it off. It’s located a little outside of Ella (5min drive) which made it very peaceful and quiet. The owner has a TukTuk and can bring you anywhere you need very quickly. Would definitely recommend! Thank you for a very memorable stay

The owners Saman and Sandive were very welcoming. They made sure that everything in the room was ready before our arrival. Both are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was just amazing, spotless clean, you can definitely sense the attention to every detail. The location is great, quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees all around. The view is spectacular, you can see the waterfall and hear the sound of running water from distance when lying in your bed, just a wonderful scene to wake up to. Saman prepared a delicious breakfast and delivered it to the room by herself just to make sure that we do not need anything else. This was by far one of the best places we have been to in Ella. We would definitely book that place again on every trip back to Ella. We highly recommend this place.

It is a new room. It looks nice and it is a comfortable room. The breakfast is great!!!! Best I had in Sri Lanka. There is a shortcut road to the centre. Its a ten minute walk. The owner is very helpful and friendly.
