It's an amazing homestay, the owner showed me the must visit temples due to my short stay.We also had family dinner with other guests, sharing what was the day of us. The breakfast was delicious and healthy . The room was organized and clean, though it's an old traditional house but you still had a spiritual vibe, can't wait for coming back soon.

Our stay at Square was perfect! The staff was extremely kind and helpful, the rooms and facilities were new and everything felt quite clean (and this is coming from someone who is a germophobe). I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely place, very relaxing in the middle of bustling area with nice internal garden. I was travelling for work and was able to rest very well there. Comfortable beds and powerfull shower. Friendly and helpful staff.

Wonderful homestay with simple, but very clean rooms, lovely common area and amazing views over the Durbar square. The most wonderful part about the stay is the friendly family who has opened up their home of many generations and who are happy to share with you the real life of Patan today and decades ago. I truly enjoyed the stay and reccommend it to anyone who is looking for something different from regular hotels and is curious about the local way of life.

My stay at Shakya House was part of my incredible Nepalese volunteer experience. I lived for a month and a half in this facility that became my home, my safe place to recover from the chaos and rainy season. I am grateful for the beautiful people I met here: all the staff are extremely helpful and welcoming, always ready to fulfill any request and make you feel part of their amazing Nepali community. The location is perfect, I highly recommend to choose Patan instead of Kathmandu; it's definitely more authentic and less chaotic and it's easier to go everywhere from here. I am sure that my adventure would not have been as positive without Shakya House. Can't wait to come back!!

Everything is pretty beautiful and nice. Very typical building. Like a museum Staff very nice. I will stay again on this place Room very confortable and good shower.

This is a guesthouse with many positives. The service from front desk is excellent. Calm, professional, hospitable, warm, hard working. I was very pleased to meet them. The coffee and food is top quality and the chef has excellent attention to detail. Rooms are comfortable, if a little rough around the edges.
