Karlsson's Guesthouse is a wonderful place for people who like to wake up to fresh sea breeze and who does not like crowded places. You will feel like you own the entire beach because it's just you and the dogs. You can join the locals in the morning to harvest seashells when it's low tide. It is a very peaceful place. Your stress will go away as you listen to the waves at night. I am satisfied with the internet connection. Sometimes it gets interrupted but I'm glad I could still connect with my mobile data. I believe you can get some work done from here. Staff is easy to talk to. Nice people! Important -- if you don't have a motorbike or a car, then it's best to arrange your own transportation in advance because it can be challenging to get to and from the place. Make sure to have some food as well. Or you can walk on the beach and visit a nearby resort for food. The place is near Tulapos Marine sanctuary, which is great! Overall, Karlsson's Guesthouse is good value for money.

The pool, the views, the food, but mostly - the people! The owners and the team working there were just INCREDIBLE! The owners sing a few times a week during dinner. As a solo traveller they ensured they introduced me to other guests so I wasn’t alone. They organised a scooter brought to the hotel for me so I didn’t have to go searching, gave me shortcuts around the island and great advise on where to go and visit. A little outside the town but for me that was much better! Most places on this island you need a scooter for anyway!

- The hosts were honestly so SO lovely! Can tell they put a lot of hard work into the property and just in general. - For the price you pay it’s amazing to have a sitting area, bedroom with air con, kitchen and bathroom all separate. - The house is really sweet and cosy. Very pink! - We had an issue with the air con and the hosts were on it right away. Sorted within the same day and they checked up on the matter to ensure all was well. - Gave us a lift to the port on departure and ensuring we got there early to purchase tickets before they sold out.

A spectacular house. Beautiful architecture that both blends and stands out in an already impressive decor. The landscape, sound of nature, the peace and beauty both in and out. Just a gem. Great value for price. Ideal for a little getaway or work (yes there is wifi connection in the forest thanks to starlink) makes this place a perfect spot. Truly amazing architects home. The host… kind and warm. Takes great care and brings great attention to guests comfort. Belle rencontre ! I also recommend watching a little sunset, drinking a cold beer (or two), perhaps a little meal at the Canopée Restaurant not too far away. The view and sunset are both breathtaking.

The owners’ attention was wonderful; we truly felt very comfortable at all times. They even took us to the terminal to catch the boat. They were so kind that it makes you want to stay for more days.
