Maria is an excellent hostess who speaks good english and made us feel very welcome, and always seemed to be on hand. The property is self-contained with everything needed to be self sufficient, with outdoor space for eating. It was very clean and comfortable, and Vila Franca has lots of character. The location was great for Lisbon and the many surrounding attractions in all directions.

Very convenient to the towns' facilities. Very clean and fresh looking. Apartment was very well equipped with kitchen utensils, cleaning products etc. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Arruda is a quaint and historical little town in Portugal and we loved it.

We were greeted upon arrival by Luís’s beautiful mother who kindly showed us the accommodation. We loved how clean the place was . It was spacious and homey, with ample blankets to keep you warm. There was tea and coffee provided and some delicious home grown oranges left on the table to eat. The location was fabulous being a block off the Camino path and was wonderfully quiet which was perfect from a long days walk. Plus Luís offered to drive us to the supermarket for supplies. What a fabulous, kind man . Thank you Luis 🫶
