What a wonderful gem of a place! We loved our stay in Slottsholmen. The design, service, views, story... it was all in all very special.

Dating back to 1881, this family-owned hotel is located in central Västervik, right next to Västervik Train Station. It offers individually decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi access and cable TV.

The property let the light in beautifully with 360 views. Especially enjoyed the balcony in the evening. Clearly a well loved home. Very private. A stones throw away from the train station and center, street parking no problem at all. Comfortable garden with lots of shade. Lovely hosts.

This historically themed hotel is both nicely decorated, according to the former function of the building as a prison and clean - sustainable. The staff is friendly and really keen on informing their guests of their hotel's past. The breakfast was tasty and with a large variety of fresh food. The boutique they maintain in the reception hall is offering interesting niche products at a good price. Another unique aspect of this hotel was the small exhibition room that shows how a prisoner's cell looked like in the past. The location is also one of the advantages that this hotel offers, because it is close to all the points of interest for culture, shopping and food.

The hotel is very nice and located right in the center of Västervik. Rooms are spacious and breakfast was good too! Parking garage is available too.

We had the most amazing time. We loved our luxurious quarters in the house and the amazing property. Very beautiful resort and cottages! We stayed in the ones with sea view for 4 people and it had a really amazing view and beautiful interiors. Really cozy and comfortable. The common facilities are also beautiful, clean, and comfortable to reach.
