I have never heard if Fred and Winnie's before, even though I have passed by not far from there for many, many years. I was very pleasantly surprised by the "bang for your buck" in the sense of the contained fresh room I had. With a fridge, TV, and very nice showering facilities, good view and all, i coukd not have asked for more. An extensive breakfast and easy order-in options from any restaurants in Kampala, it was excellent. On top if it all though, was the warm hospitality offered by the hosts. I would highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel 256, The location was perfect! easy access to town and to the airport. It is located within a gated community, providing security and peace of mind. Our room had a lovely view of the lake, which was nice to wake up to. We enjoyed a well prepared breakfast and a delicious dinner of Ugandan local cuisine. Our rooms were very comfortable, well decorated, and had all the room amenities required. Toni and Esther, the hotel staff, were very attentive and always on hand to offer any assistance or information. Every area of the hotel has been well designed and is extremely inviting.

In a few years it will be difficult to find a vacant apartment here. Considering the prices, this apartment is too good to be true. the apartment is clean and nice. Best staff. Caro is a star😃😃 if you want to live in a quiet area a few minutes from the city, this home is perfect for you. 24/7 security and staff who are always there for you when you need anything, what more could you ask for? The Hotel staff were amazing from check in to check out. Ruth thank you for the amazing well come. I had problem with my in house phone and it was changed immediately once i reported it. Breakfast was 10/10 thank to the chef.
