New ZealandThis is a good old school 5 star hotel, which it does so well. The grand entry with all its marble, gold and antique style furniture, reminiscent of a Maharaja’s palace, I loved.
The room, although again some might say a bit dated, was superbly comfortable. Loved the leather wing chair. So much more personality than other hotels.
Restaurant was good, good service, and very good food.

All the staff from front desk, housekeeping and the dining room provided an outstanding service. The food was delicious, just a little spicy to what I am used to. The bar upstairs for me was perfect as they had pool tables which was a great plus. Next to the hotel there is a mall and across the road a 24 hour shop and a couple of places to eat.
