We loved absolutely everything. If you are looking for calm, private, relaxing holiday to take time off from everyday life then Villa 46 is place to do it. First days we were in the villa just the two of us. Amazing! Loooved the food.Thank you Chef Dhammika! Thank you Herl and thank you to our friend who made some awesome towel decorations. We also loved the beach in front of the hotel and what surprised us was that there were no people on OUR beach :))) We really did not want to leave.

The villa is stunningly beautiful on a quiet end of the beach but still a very easy walk to bars and restaurants. The pool is the perfect temperate and we used it a lot. It’s accessible off the main road but it’s set back so you don’t hear it, we never noticed it. The decor of the villa is beautiful and tasteful, the rooms are comfortable and the AC and fan above the bed work really well. The bathroom is huge and I loved the open shower. We had the room on the ground floor leading out to the pool which was lovely and light. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Villa many times and never had a bad meal. Everything was delicious, fresh and well presented. On the last night we requested a seafood platter and it was the tastiest lobster and king prawns we have ever eaten! The chef is amazing and we loved every meal. They are all accommodating and happy to make the meals at a time to suit you which was great. The staff are amazing, friendly and warm and constantly cleaning the place, it was spotless. Sunil (the manager) is fantastic, we have travelled a lot and stayed at some high-end resorts but Sunil’s skills and touch in customer service is exemplary and it’s clear his team flourishes under his management. Sunil even recommended a restaurant in Colombo and made us a reservation as well as organising a great guide and driver. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back to Villa Saffron, we’re already planning a trip back with friends and family. It’s a slice of heaven!

It was a wonderfully spent time! The place is beautiful and full of atmosphere, with a view of the lake and a private terrace where you can enjoy delicious breakfasts prepared by the hotel staff. There’s also a pool, which gave us even more joy than swimming with turtles in the ocean. And the greatest advantage is the people who run this place. I have never in my life met more helpful, smiling, kind, and warm-hearted people. I felt taken care of as if I were at home, even though home was 8,000 kilometers away. I wholeheartedly recommend it — a fully deserved five stars!

Everything about this hotel was just spectacular. The best service and client oriented experience I ever had. The contemporary villa with private pool was absolutely stunning and couldn’t ask for anything more. We had the most amazing private butler Lasantha who took care of us from the first moment we arrived and offered us the best treatment possible which made the whole trip to Sri Lanka memorable. The chef is absolutely fantastic and literally everything we ate was delicious. The massage therapists pampered us and gave us the most relaxing hours. Mr Axel the general manager insured we have such a private and peaceful environment in this resort that there is not a single detail to complain about. We recommend this place to anyone interested in visiting Sri Lanka especially that is hijabi friendly!
