The accommodation was very cozy and comfortable. The location is very close to the beach and just a short walk to all restaurants and the Main Street. But what made our stay so extraordinary was the wonderful and caring staff, their recommendations and advices regarding our itinerary really helped us planning our vacation. Hundira is a tastefully decorated, boutique hotel and we love its quiet, homely atmosphere. This was our 2nd visit to the hotel and our next is already booked. It is a 20mins ride from the airport but over an hour from the city of Colombo. The hotel has a unique layout with a waterway winding through it. One can access the adjacent Negombo Lagoon via this waterway using kayaks available at the hotel. The rooms are large, the service very good, the Spa offers excellent ayurvedic massages and their Gift Shop offers unique products, handmade by locals in a workshop housed in the hotel itself. They also have 2 decent sized pools. The hotel has a wonderful museum dedicated to Rolf Tibblin, the champion Swedish motocross rider of the 50s & 60s, who is co-owner of this hotel along with his wife Hundira.

I recently stayed at Tamarind Tree Garden Resort and had a fantastic experience. Despite arriving late at night due to a delayed flight, the check-in process was incredibly smooth and the staff were extremely helpful. The resort is conveniently located just 5 minutes from the airport, which was a huge plus. My room was very spacious and comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. In the morning, I enjoyed a lovely breakfast buffet that offered a wide variety of delicious options. Afterwards, I took a refreshing dip in the pool, which is beautifully surrounded by lush greenery. My stay was excellent and I highly recommend this resort.

    We booked the one-bedroom suite with a pool, and it was absolutely fantastic. The resort itself is exceptionally nice, with very friendly staff. The food was outstanding. The kids' pool and play area felt like an exclusive waterpark, which had my kids going wild. All in all its become my favourite place to relax in the Negombo area.
