The hotel is beautiful and spotless, food is excellent and swiftly provided. The highlight is the staff, who are show great training but also inject their personality and warmth to the service. They are proactive and attentive, but not at all invasive. Whenever you need them it is as if they magically appear. If you are coming for the temples we highly recommend the private tours offered by the hotel. They provided us with Em, an excellent guide, who knew everything about the temples and also gave us great insights to the modern history and contemporary society of Cambodia. The hotel provided the driver, who kept us refreshed with water and cold towels (much appreciated, after climbing up the steep steps of Angkor Wat!). We had a 3-day tour and Em planned and paced it beautifully, so that we visited 20 (!) temples in three days but without being exhausted or (totally) overwhelmed by the experience. Visiting the more remote temples in Koh Ker is absolutely recommended as they are stunning, serene places. Also more visitors by locals giving you a little flavour of local life. In short, come for the temples - stay for the Angkor Village Hotel!

From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff left us in awe. The resort is beautifully designed, with lush greenery everywhere. Property kept so clean and the room was cleaned daily. Great breakfast with good products and good coffee. Everything we ordered for lunch or dinner was delicious! Loved the kids bike, our son used it daily. Later checkout at no charge was greatly appreciated. We were so sad to leave. Loved our stay and hope to come back and stay again in the future. Best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommend!!
