If you're looking for a hostel to instantly feel at home, be close to the beach and learn to surf then look no further. The staff make you feel very much at home, the facilities are great and the surfing lessons are the best. I daresay that there are not many surfing schools in the world better to make progress as a (beginner/intermediate) surfer than by the hand of Marcos and Rudy. They are very dedicated to making you better, teach you the required technique and use video analysis to show you where to improve further. Plus, you will make friends easliy in the laid-back vibe and welcome culture of this hostel

The people working at Somos are all so friendly and helpfull. We felt super welcome and we absolutely loved staying here. The Deluxe dorm is the best you can get: biggest and most comfortable beds with privacy. We would recommend everybody staying here, we booked an extra night because we didn't want to leave. It's easy to meet new people because there is live music almost every night in the bar. Also, there are some really nice rooms where you can hang out and meet new people: the cafe, the living room, the swimming Pool, playing pool...

I’m beyond pleased with my stay. We decided to extend 4 more nights and will most likely extend even more. I have no idea how this place gets a “bad” score on booking.com. it really exceeded all our expectations. Loved the outdoor kitchen its such a chill place to cook, hangout and socialise. The other common areas are big and super nice. The surrounding scenery is stunning and its located just on the beach. The wifi worked all around the facilities and I was able to do some studying and movie streaming without any problems at all. Common areas and kitchen were nice and clean, rooms cleaned everyday and bed made. Its a great place for surfing but also amazing even if you dont surf.

Hotel Tropico Latino is located in Santa Teresa beach in Nicoya Peninsula. It has a full spa with natural products, as well as a yoga studio and Mediterranean restaurant.

Staff was accommodating and friendly! Location was perfect! included breakfast was good, views of the ocean, rooms were decent.. could use updating. Yoga was amazing, spa right there. Walking distance to all restaurants and shopping. Beautiful amenities( spa, pool, restaurant, sittting , hammocks, yoga) .

We stayed at the jungle tent for one night as we had arranged to do the Bioluminescence tour with Franco. The location is just perfect, it’s at the end of a long track and is surrounded by forest. The jungle tent was a really good size and it was a short walk to the showers and toilets. The wildlife around the tent was great, we saw a variety of birds, frogs, crabs and howler monkeys. We did the Bioluminescence tour in the evening which was excellent and a really good social with Franco, his assistant and another couple. Afterwards we returned and Franco and Wilma lit a fire for us and joined us for a drink. The reception we received was very warm and Franco and Wilma are lovely people and can’t do enough to help. In the morning we walked to the beach, the dogs joined us and showed us the way. This took around 20 minutes. The beach is wonderful, it’s large and empty. We saw red Macaw there. The visit felt very authentic and a bit of the touristy track which we enjoyed. I highly recommend it.
