We had the pleasure of staying at Ali Adi Eco Lodge, and it truly felt like a home away from home. This family-run lodge offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. The owner, Asela, is incredibly responsive and goes above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. Whether it's arranging tuk-tuk rides into town or helping organize unforgettable experiences like an elephant safari, Asela is always eager to help. The lodge itself is peaceful and surrounded by nature, and one of the highlights of our stay was spotting a wild elephant roaming the back garden one evening—a truly magical experience! We stayed for three nights, and every day felt like a new adventure. The hospitality, the natural beauty, and the personal touch from Asela and his family made this a standout stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the true heart of Sri Lanka.

Costha is the most genuine and kind soul I have met in Sri Lanka. He goes out of his way to make you comfortable at his place and takes you to all the local places in the area. He also used to be a tour guide and safari driver so he has extensive knowledge of Sigiriya and the surrounding places. His family is also super welcoming and his mom cooks the best food. It was an honour to stay with Costha’s place. I really liked how cozy and homey the place felt. There is a dorm room and there is a social bar hangout area, all built by Costha himself. You can really feel the vision and the passion he has for the place.

The staff was so kind and polite, specially Nimna was the best, always taking care about us and being the best host! If you go there, ask for Nimna! Also, pool is very nice and clean and the rooms are clean and big

Exceptional accommodation, exceptional owner, surrounded by nature, we loved it. We expected something special, and we had a special experience, seeing many different birds, reptiles, wild boars, and even an elephant one evening near the accommodation. If you expect luxury, don't go here, but if you love nature and the outdoors, you will enjoy it. This was our best accommodation!

Piya and his family were excellent hosts. They gave us space and comfort, they were very kind and helpful. They organized everything what came to our mind. He also showed us interesting places in the area which are not shown on the internet - you have to be a local to know them. The food was delicious and in big portions, and everyday we ate something new. We will definitely visit this place if we are ever again in Sri Lanka. Place is away from a main road which is an advantage and disadvantage - this means the place is very quiet and calm. There are shops with essentials like water and toothpaste very close. But if something is needed - you can get a tuktuk or a bike. There are really friendly people in the area. We felt very welcomed.
