Glamping Sites in Tissamaharama

We have just had the most amazing 2 night stay at yala wild Beach huts. The owner and the team are lovely. The tents/huts are new and super comfy beds in a really quite unspoilt location. Very close to the entrance to yala national park. The food has been amazing with endless amounts of it too much food for us to eat you will never go hungry. We were offered tea and coffee and bottles of water all the time and when we went to yala and the temple tour we were given fruit, coffee, biscuits and chocolate milk for the kids. We opted to stay for 2 nights and we were glad we did as it gave us time to go on a second jeep trip to the temples and see more elephants outside the national park. Along with crocodiles and monkeys. Our driver was great and really enjoyed all the trips even going for a last minute beach trip and over the sand dunes. He went out of his way to try and find lepards for us. Roy our guide was incredible a great character who clearly loves his job and nature and his knowledge of sri lankan history is brilliant and very enjoyable to listen to. Along with morning nature walk around the camp We all agreed that this has been our favourite place in Sri Lanka on our trip and I would highly recommend a 2 night visit or longer if you have time. Going to sleep and Walking up to the sound of the birds an nature was amazing. The owner has great plans for the future of yala wild huts and its alread great and will only improve furter there is an obvious passion and love for the area and nature and to give guests an amazing experience Thanks again for an amazing experience we could not be happier and will recommend to anyone we know who is travelling to sri lanka

Incredible location in the middle of the nature surrounded by animals. Seemed like a move setting. The staff is very friendly and helpful they did their outter best the make our stay unforgettable.

Such a peaceful, beautiful setting and the accomodation and food was superb for a camp setting, 5 star dining under the trees and stars. Staff were delightful and so happy to assist with anything and their knowledge of the area and its flora & fauna were exceptional. Highly recommend!!

After reading some reviews I was a bit scared about our stay at Leopard Nest. Fortunately unnecessarily. I think the owner of this hotel took all the comments to heart. 1. Right after we arrived the owner explained us everything, especially how to stay safe in the jungle, it was very valuable. We also received a whats up contact in case of any questions or needs. The contact was great and very fast 2. There were at least 4 people from the staff from early morning till late evening. 3. My internet from Sri Lankan mobile has a perfect signal, although I do not expect it in a jungle. There is wi fi at the reception, but I did not check it. 4. Breakfast and dinner are served, everything was delicious and so much that we could not eat it all. The dinner consisted of four courses appetizer, soup, grill and desserts. It was very nice in the middle of the jungle where only torches illuminated us. 5. There is bottled water in the room, and for dinner, if you want something else to drink, you can order it. 6. Additionally, because you have to go on safari very early in the morning, coffee and tea were waiting for us before we left, and we were given a tourist fridge full of sandwiches, eggs, fruit, cookies and water to take on safari. 7. Although the safari was organized by another company, the owner of the hotel asked us for contact to the driver to make sure everything would be on time. 8. The staff is very friendly, and everyone speaks very good English. 9. The air conditioning in the huts works very well. 10. When choosing this hotel, you have to remember that these are jungle huts and not a 5-star luxury hotel, you are close to nature here and in your room you can meet a small friendly lizard, this is an adventure and you have to be ready for it. 10.

Friendly staff and right food made me so comfortable. Sunset and surroundings made me fall in love with nature, and I would come back next year
