There are tens of desert camps in the Bidiyah area, but this one is among those with the best location. It is a bit further away from the town compared to most of the others, it is quite a distance away from the other camps, and is located on the higher ground, offering spectacular views and easy access to the dunes. The tents are spacious and cozy. The beds were the most comfortable of all I slept in while in Oman. Considering that the camp is in the desert, everything was unbelievably clean. All staff members were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast and the dinner were tasty, varied and plentiful. Drinking water was provided throughout the day.

What an experience ! Getting to spend the night in the desert, in this exceptional setting!! Only 4 tents in this camp so it feels very exclusive, excellent amenities, never thought camping in the desert could be this comfortable ! Very welcoming staff! We got to experience sunset and sunrise over the dunes, do some sandsurfing and go on a Camel ride, topped with good meals, Nice shower and a very comfortable night sleep! Unforgettable experience!!

The bedouins that run this rather new camp are super cute and friendly and make sure that you have an unforgettable experience. The location is just north of Bidiyya, so not in the main part of the Wahiba desert as we expected. The dunes around the camp are beautiful and worthwhile nevertheless, and the quiet and hospitality of the hosts combined with the excellent price make for an excellent experience. Plus you can go and see the Wahiba desert on the other side of town during the day; it's only a few minutes of driving away. The tents and beds are excellent and the private bathrooms are even a bit too luxurious for our needs; definitely unexpected for that price. The hosts readily share their experiences and stories around the campfire at night during the tea they serve after dinner.

Rashid and his team are simply the best! It starts at the meeting point where they prepared our car for the sand driving, gave us the instructions and it was easy to reach the camp. It has only 5 tents and it’s far in the dunes! The tent is spacious with very comfortable bed and bathroom with all you need. It is all very clean. They welcomed us with tea and coffee. The sunset was beautiful , you don’t need to go far from the camp and you feel like alone in the universe. The dinner was delicious and after they made a fire, we sat around and they sing and dance! After they drove us to see scorpions at night and after we enjoyed the stars and the quietness of the desert. Next day after breakfast they took us back and we spent just perfect day in the desert with Rashid who is an excellent host. Thank you!

Everything was just perfect!! Said is such a friendly host, we loved to talk with him on the terrace in the desert. He also took us to his camels and let us pet and hug them. Unforgettable!! :) Breakfast and dinner were delicious! Thank you sooo much for that experience :) !!

What a special experience! We were brought to the camp by the very friendly hosts and the desert camp was wonderful: a small camp with 3 tents (equipped with comfortable beds to sleep in) and a bathroom. This made the camp perfect for watching the sunset and sunrise, stargazing, and experiencing the desert in an intimate setting. The hosts were amazing and we also greatly enjoyed the variety of food that was served. Overall a 10/10 unique experience which we would highly recommend: definitely the highlight of our trip across Oman!

This was the dessert experience we were hoping for. We had one night at another camp before this, which didn't come close to the level of hospitality, comfort, and experience that Sunrise was able to deliver. Great communication across channels, wonderful greeting from Faiz, great dune bashing session, right level of attentiveness, beautiful spacious tents, awesome location at top of dune for sunrise, delicious dinner and breakfast, evening campfire... great value for money.

‏+ The camp was in a fantastic location in the desert completely surrounded by dunes. The tents were extremely comfortable as were the beds. I slept like a baby. The outside toilets/showers were whopped you would expect from camping experience but perfectly usable and not a problem. The camp itself was very spacious and the tents were located some distance away from each other giving that feeling of isolation to some degree. The staff organised a variety of different activities which looked to be at a reasonable price. The camper staff are able to organise a transfer from a local village into the dunes if you only choose to hire a two wheel drive car. It looked to be just about possible to get to the camp with the two wheel drive car but not for the fainthearted, and would require a good degree of confidence

We wanted to stay a night in the desert in Oman. There are many camps out there in Wahiba Sands, so lot of options to choose from, but there are only a few options that provide a one tent experience, away from all the mass tourism, and just focusing on being in the desert. We enjoyed a wonderful stay at The One tent camp, combined with a camel safari, an excellent diner, a delicious breakfast, and just simply a whole different kind of experience than anything else. We want to thank Hamad for his hospitality and all of his stories, as well as Imran for the truly great food and service provided. Communication was excellent, as well as the help provided when driving in the desert.

    The camp was very easy to get to in a normal car, no need for a 4wd. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We stayed in a tent which was comfortable and even had air conditioning! The breakfast and dinner was fantastic each day - so many options and all delicious.

    Ali and his colleagues were friendly and helpful. The camp is remote with no signal, so perfect if you are looking to disconnect from the world for a brief moment. The beds were comfy and the tents were really nice. There is even a shower on site which I did use. The sand dunes were beautiful. It gets a little chilly in the evening so remember to bring an extra layer. Dinner and breakfast was tasty and there was lots of it.

    Sandglass was exactly what it said on the tin - a basic but well located camping spot in the desert. The food was great, the hosts very welcoming and kind and a very comfortable bed for the night.

    Everything was incredible! From the beautiful accommodation to the food, to the conversation and laughs with Rashid and Mohammed, and most of all the location. Absolutely stunning. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. The beds were so comfy and the activities were fantastic. Jafa (I think was his name) provided beautiful food and was so friendly and helpful in every way. We can't fault this place and can't wait to visit again!
