The lodge is half an hour’s drive from Hoedspruit. Then another 20 minutes to go through a gravel road. We were surprised by all the facilities. It’s very comfortable and even though the kitchen is small everything is there. It’s very quiet and you feel the nature around you. We had company of the monkeys who emptied all the garbage cans and came to drink water from the swimming pool the next day. The communication is fantastic via whatsapp, fast and enjoyable. Highly recommend to stay.

Everything about Little Safari Lodge was perfect. We were looking for a chilled experience and were so happy with our stay. The game rides were exceptional. Robert and Mateo went above and beyond to ensure we had a very personal up close experience. They were just exceptional. The lodge was fantastic. The food was absolutely restaurant quality in taste and presentation. We had to cancel lunch one day as we were so full from breakfast. We saw all the big five and so many more animals in their natural habitat. Just stunning. We will be returning. Thanks for the best stay.

All of the staff were super friendly and helpful, the rangers we were with (Kenneth, Edwin, and Brendan) were fantastic at making the game drives as comfortable as possible and worked really hard to find as many animals as possible. The food was always incredible, we love trying new things so it was great that there was a lot of variance in the meals. The room we had was beautiful and the facilities worked perfectly.

I simply loved everything… if I tell you that I was actually depressed to leave to go to the second lodge we booked, would you believe this? - the room was really impeccable, this was my favorite part. We stayed at the Harrier luxury tent. The “lake” goes behind the tent so you can hear all the frogs and animals etc. it’s really amazing. The outdoor shower was crazy good. The room is soooo quiet otherwise. You don’t hear NOTHING except a bunch of different animals. We even heard leopard sounds and a giraffe in the morning. It’s really that amazing. - let me tell you I’m super picky with bedding and sheets and comfort of the bed and I was like AMAZED by how good the bed was. The sheets were high quality… was great 10/10 - the lodge is small so you get really individualized attention, which some might like some might not - they have lots of animals pretty much all the main ones minus lions and rhinos I think. The leopard and hiena are more rare but we did see them in the property so it was SOOO worth it. Flora the guide was super cool and we did an extra drive with her at ngiht to look for the leopard. This for me MADE THE TRIP. Because I felt like I was close to the people working there and we could talk and adjust and be flexible with the stuff. This was a big plus, since I don’t like these SUPER structured commercial lodges (we saw some like that…)

This is the most beautiful place you will stay in Blyde River Canyon area. All the experience is top notch! From the extremely friendly staff that will accommodate you like royalty, to the most spectacular views of the mountains, the twice a day experiences and all the knowledge about such an intriguing species such as the Cape Vultures. One of our favourites was the visit to the Permaculture Camp where you can see with your own eyes where the food served at the lodge comes from as well as learn the basic concepts of the nature cycle that guides Permaculture principles and techniques, which can be applied everywhere on the planet. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious tents with the best quality linen and comforting views of the mountain and the Blyde bush. The top indulgence experience is to enjoy the outside shower under the stars and using the natural bio products from Africology, offered as complementary. There is no aircon in the rooms since it is an off grid property, nevertheless there is a ceiling fan that will keep you well ventilated. The food and kitchen staff were very professional at attending our dietary requirements, though there is a need to keep investing in vegan and plant based recipes to be in harmony with the Permaculture concept too. The fresh swimming pool was a delight in the middle of the hot reason and I cannot stress enough the kindness and professionalism of all the staff. This is a 6* experience in nature in one of the most beautiful places in Africa.

Bundox Explorer Camp in Hoedspruit provides adults-only accommodation with a bar and a shared lounge. There is a private entrance at the luxury tent for the convenience of those who stay.
