The location is spectacular and you feel very much in the wild. We stayed for a night to break up a visit with family and as a Christmas treat and what a treat it was. The yurt is toasty warm thanks to the wood pellet stove, though the outdoor toilet in -7 degrees was a bit chilly! There were heated blankets in the beds though we ended up not needing them. The children loved the outdoor space, the fairy doors, whimsical tree house and mud kitchen. What made it so special for us was the view of the night sky, I don't think I have ever seen so many stars and to fall asleep looking at that through the skylight was so special. The hosts have supplied so many home comforts inside the yurt too, hot chocolate and teas and coffee, a box of board games, books and home made ornaments to compliment the space. The microwave and outdoor fire pit BBQ allowed us to cook a lovely meal and then breakfast was superb, continental style with eggs probably from the chickens in the coop nearby! Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY!

Unfortunately, we were only able to spend one night at the glamping, but it was truly a refreshing experience. Martin is extremely helpful and kind, the place is carefully maintained in every detail and has everything you need for a relaxing stay in contact with nature. We also had the chance to grill some skewers we bought from the local butcher in Aughrim in the kitchenette area. We’ll definitely be back!
