We stayed one night at Kore Guesthouse and completely fell in love. Every little detail was so cute and so Albanian, from the decor to the cozy atmosphere, you could feel the love and effort in every corner. The terrace had the most stunning view over the city and surrounding mountains — truly unforgettable. And the breakfast? Homemade petulla, fresh jam… everything was delicious and made with so much care. It was such a warm, beautiful experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back! 💛

The location is unbeatable—tucked in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, yet just steps away from the old castle, the local market, and directly across from the historic house of the famous writer Ismail Kadare. Walking through the charming streets felt like stepping into a storybook. The villa itself is stunning—comfortable, beautifully decorated, and full of character. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed with both modern comfort and traditional charm. We especially loved the balcony, where we enjoyed morning coffee with a view and quiet evenings under the stars. One of the highlights was the amazing breakfast—fresh, delicious, and made with local ingredients. It was the perfect start to every day and truly added to the experience. But what really made this stay unforgettable were the fantastic hosts. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel not just like guests, but like part of the family. This villa is perfect for anyone looking to relax, explore, and experience the authentic heart of the town. We were warmly greeted by the family and little grand daughters who raced outside to open the gate and show us where to park. Our completely renovated room with a gorgeous rooftop terrace in the Old Town of Gjirokastër, and looking upwards towards the Castle walls was perfectly located. The host has tastefully decorated the room to a completely modern standard. It was spotlessly clean, bright and welcoming. We enjoyed some amazing breakfasts while in Albania, particularly in the North, but OMG Manga's doughnuts with poached strawberries were next level, as was the rest of breakfast

Wonderful place with wonderful hosts! The view from the terrace is amazing and the breakfast was delicious! And bonus points for the incredibly cute kitten. :) The location is great, too. It's only a short walk to the old city center. 100% recommended!

Kristi (host) and his mother keep the place immaculate. In addition, they are very friendly and helpful. We had to leave to Saranda after our stay and Kristi happened to go there as well and offered us a ride. The bazaar is close by and so is the castle. Everything you need basically. Would definitely recommend to stay here over a hotel where you pay twice the price and get half the value. 10/10.

One of the most beautiful rooms we have ever stayed in. Such a unique location, rich with character. The staff were helpful and friendly. The lady who made us breakfast was so kind and lovely. The breakfast was large and delicious. The view from the guest house was absolutely spectacular. We couldn't have been happier with our stay here.

Extremely friendly personal. They even parked our car. Rooms quiet new, very spaceous and tidy. Big bathroom with rainshower. Bed was big and comfy. Quiet at night, no busy road nearby. View to the castle, not far from city center (5min walk)
