My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Pension Waldesruh for one night because we visited Bad Ischl from Salzburg to spend a day at the Eurothermen Spa, and we were very happy with our stay. The hotel is completely new and renovated. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and very clean, with a modern and carefully designed style. You can really see that the owners put a lot of care and passion into the details. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and they also speak French. We appreciated the free parking right in front of the hotel and the breakfast which was also very good, with a nice variety. The surrounding area seemed quiet and peaceful, although we didn’t have the chance to explore it because we arrived in the evening and left the next morning. In the evening, we had dinner at a small restaurant just a 5-minute walk away, recommended by the owners, which was very convenient as we didn’t have to move the car. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely come back.

The property is beautifully located in a breathtaking natural setting — surrounded by peaceful landscapes that immediately put you at ease. We were given what felt like our own private apartment, with a separate entrance and the convenience of direct access to our car, which made unloading and packing so much easier. Everything inside was spotlessly clean, beautifully scented, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay — you can really feel the care and attention to detail the hosts put into the place. It felt more like visiting a warm and welcoming home than a typical overnight stay. I highly recommend this place not only for travelers heading further south — it’s a perfect stopover — but also as a fantastic base for discovering the beauty of Austria. We ourselves enjoyed a lovely trip to Hallstatt, which was just a short drive away. A truly restful and pleasant experience — we would happily come back!

The scenery from the window was great. It was a great friendly neighbourhood. The owner were very helpful even though there was a language barrier. A great place to stay and worth the money.
