The breakfasts were a feast of homemade jams & cakes, many fruits plus local specialities. Lunches & suppers were also excellent and we were invited to help ourselves to as many mangos as we could eat! The property is rustic with many lovely handmade furnishings. We loved swimming in the lagoon at the bottom of the garden.

The location for us was exactly what we wanted: not in the city but close enough to the airport for a midday flight. Everything about R.I.O. exceeded our expectations. The elegant room was beautifyully furnished with high quality furnishings. The pool and gardens were absolutely amazing. The staff were attentive and extroardinarly kind and helpful. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the shower was fantastic. Perhaps the very best thing about R.I.O was the owner/chef Olivier who cooked the most amazing meals for us in the rooftop restaurant. He is a true professional who has created a little piece of Paradise overlooking the dunes in Combuco where the breakfast croissants and baquette are better than we have ever had in France. We will spend the rest of our travelling days looking for reasons to re-visit Combuco so that we can stay much longer at R.I.O. next time.

The compound is fantastic. Safe. Clean with spacious rooms and houses. The service was all top notch. Special mention to the resort manager Portuguese Joa who was extra friendly and helpful with everything. For sure I will stay here again - absolutely no doubt about that. Location, resort, accommodation, service everything was 11 out of 10 — highly recommend staying here

I spent a month working remotely from Casa Martina and then kitesurfing in the afternoon. The 50 Mbit fiber optic internet was great. No problems with video meetings. The apartments and spacious and clean. Perfect place for a workation. Martina is very friendly and hospitable and always willing to help. Can recommend staying here.
