It is a wonderful place. Macaws in the almond tree, parrots arriving and departing (always with a great party :)), a wonderful garden, 2 really cute cats. We really loved it there. Beach, Supermarket and restaurant are walking distance. A perfect place to start a Corcovado tour as well. Lubna was on holiday when we arrived, but she managed everything from the distance. We had the place for us own, its a shared kitchen and bathroom. Be sure you have money with you, it was not possible to pay the room with credit card.

Loved the authentic accommodation. On the doorstep to all the nature and wildlife you dream of.Kerley and family were wonderful hosts and are passionate about what they do.Very good value, bedrooms were clean with a simple ensuite bathroom but you had everything you needed.The kitchen was very impressive so it was very easy to prepare your own food.if you wanted to..Loved the verandah .We went on bird trips with Kerley, and he looked after us really well.Got some amazing birds and animals and learned plenty from him

The history of the place is amazing: a gold rush time village bar, that used to have also a brothel and jail (now restroom and shower). Suzanne has created a very cozy place with a wide common area and different sorts of accommodations. It was fun talking and sharing experiences with her aswell as other visitors. The place has a nice wibe and Blue Morpho butterflies flying in the yard. We went on Matapalo and night tours with Shanny - they were both a great experience.

Absolutely loved it here! As soon as I arrived I was greeted with big smiles and kindness from the staff. They are relaxed, helpful, fun and just really good people. Room was great! Bed comfy. I loved how the hotel had different zones so you can either be social or find a quiet area to chill. Shared kitchen was super clean, spacious and very well organized. Lots of surfboards for rent. Beach about 50m away, a few cafes / restaurants close, as well as the mini market store. 100% will be back! Hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks for a great time Hotel Swell.... One of the most incredible places to stay in Costa Rica! The cabin is very rustic and surrounded by lush trees, birds and wildlife - we had hummingbirds flying around! There’s a river nearby which is a great place for swimming and we saw lots of Tucan, Macaws and monkeys on the road leading to Los Platos. If youre looking for a quiet escape with no tourists, this is perfect! The host is one of the most genuine and kind people i have met! he also does guided hikes but these need to be booked in advance. The internet was fast and reliable (10mbps) and the kitchen was equipped with a stove top, fridge, coffee machine (coffee provided) and all the cutlery and pots/pans you need. So bring your own groceries as there are no restaurants or shops nearby. Theres a fan in the room and only a cold shower but thats just what we wanted after spending the days out in the heat! We arrived using public transport to La Palma and then took a 3000 colones taxi to Corcovado Guide House which is 2 km from the town. Thank you so much for a wholesome stay!

Great place in the center of Puerto Jiménez - steps to the bus stations, restaurants, a supermarket, a bakery, tour offices and banks. The room was exactly as described and featured two comfy chairs on the balcony. The wifi was surprising great - about 90 mb/s dropping lower if a lot of people were using it. The host is an amazing resource for things to do or helpful tips, and is super nice too.
