Claudio gave us a wonderful welcome. We were thrilled with our room, which was better appointed and more comfortable than any we’d experienced thus far on our trip. The included breakfast was beautifully prepared, and way too much for us to eat—our second morning, we asked for a reduced version. Our original plan had been to stay just one night, but we extended it to two because it was such a great place to take a rest from the road—and such good value for money. Elsewhere on our trip, we’d paid more than that for far less attractive and comfortable lodgings. Just a block away is the large and lovely Albert Park, where we enjoyed several walks.

The wonderful host and owner Alfie, was friendly, very accommodating, and has created an amazing space for an unbelievable low price. The place is efficiently organised, and appears to be an expression of love and creativity from the owner. I hear it will soon be passing into new hands.
