The guest house is too good. They have added some new decor and amenities which is not in the pictures and it amped up the space even more. This is more like a home stay set up so the place was very warm and comfortable as I personally wanted to avoid crowd and this served the purpose. The host was very helpful and made our stay comfortable to the T. The location is surrounded with lush green and serene views . Highly recommend.

From the moment we arrived at Xanadu we fell in love with the location of the property. The whole of Nilgiris was just before our eyes with all the clouds and the lovely weather.

The location of the guest house was excellent. Coonoor town itself is quite hectic but while the guest house is only a few minutes drive away it is much calmer. A couple minutes walk away is an amazing large park (sims park) which as well as being great for adults has a large children’s park which our son enjoyed playing with the local children in. The manager is super helpful and friendly. All the staff enjoyed entertaining our son as he played outside. The communal seating and dining table were perfect for relaxing in the evening. One night I watched a big football match on my iPad using the WiFi with no problems. Food and drinks were prepared whenever needed and were both good quality and reasonably priced. We did a tour of the local sights and took the train to Ooty. This train is famous and the main reason we wanted to visit the area but we found it to be a great place to visit for so many other reasons too. The manager organised us a good car and driver to take us all the way to Mysore when we left. He even arranged for the driver to collect us with all our luggage and then drop us at the train station so we could enjoy the mountain railway to Ooty leaving all the bags in the car. When we arrived in Ooty the car was waiting for us to take us to Mysore. We will definitely return in the future if we pass this way again.

A clean, cozy, and beautiful home for 3 days! It is located outside Kotagiri town and provides ample peace and quiet! Rooms smell nice and woody, just like the old estate houses in the hills. The toilet is modern and clean (something very difficult to find in Ooty and Coimbatore. The host checks in on you daily, taking care of all your requirements. Cleaning service is also provided every few days at regular intervals. Hot water is available throughout. Did not try the food. RECOMMENDED FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS😉
