Pretty new, extremely clean and lots of space in the room. Comfortable beds. Private bathroom. Good breakfast, actually it was a glad surprise compared to previous reviews. Location was also good close to Diamond Beach. Totally almost hotel level.

First time staying in hostel, wasnt sure how all works regarding shared things,information was provided yes and all read. Very happy that you still had your personal little house and toilet. Location was perfect ,stayed one night and very affordable,if needed would definetely come back.

We were able to check in a couple of hours in advance. The room was perfect, had an amazing view, very clean and spacious. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The guesthouse is situated in a fantastic location- 30 minutes away from the glacier lagoon, surrounded by beautiful mountains. It was also close to Höfn, where we had a nice dinner. The rooms were fine, not modern, but I think this was even better contributing to the cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was also nice, perfect for a start of long day on the road. Most important what we loved about the guesthouse was how nice everyone was! We were caught up in a snowstorm and couldn’t make it for our first night. They were so understanding! We even got a partial refund, although they didn’t really need to do it since it was not their fault we couldn’t make it. Overall we had a great stay in Brunnhóll.

Spacious, clean, warm, modern inside. Very comfortable bed and the linen was yummy, we had a great sleep. Communication from the host was great. The kitchen is substantial. Cute, peaceful surroundings by the harbour. Thank you Guesthouse Dyngja.

Our room was large and comfortable, even had a couple of chairs and an ottoman! Most of our rooms in Iceland were so small so having the opportunity to spread a bit was a very happy surprise. I got a message a few days in advance with some instructions. My key would be at the front desk with my name and they informed me they had complimentary coffee, tea, yogurt and cereals in the morning. In the message they also apologized for not offering breakfast. I was like What?! Where I come from some hotels call cereal and yogurt breakfast and charge you for it. I would have been happy with coffee alone lol! Anyway, I read somewhere they had laundry facilities available, so I was banking on doing some laundry there. When I asked where I could do my laundry and if there was an extra charge, they were a bit confused but immediately showed me to the hotel's laundry room and let me use it!! This was very nice of them. Lastly, they have the cutest garden, looks like your grandma's place.

Set just 1 km from Hornafjördur Airport. Free WiFi access. The Route 1 Ring Road is right next to the guest house. A seating area and work desk feature in all guest rooms at Seljavellir Guesthouse.
