This stay was just amazing. Our host was so kind and the meals he had prepared were delicious. The products were fresh and you couldn’t make them more local : the mushrooms we had in our soup were taken directly from his garden. Moreover, the room were really cozy and comfy as well the sauna. I really recommend it if you want to see the Japanese countryside and enjoy a relaxing stay

The host is my favourite. It was going to be dark when I arrived and so she saved me the walk uphill and picked me up at the station. So very grateful for her and the place is so nice and clean and has everything you need for a stay over

We loved the place, everything was very clean and we had all capabilties and tons of space. Beds were very comfortable. The hosts are the best people, taking care of every detail. They offered to drive us to and from a restaurant in Magome to have dinner in the evening.

The house is absolutely beautiful, it was such a pleasure to stay in. Very comfortable and the air conditioners were great. I wished I was staying longer. There's a great bakery around the corner called Tag where we got breakfast, and the owner recommended an Okonomoyaki restaurant in town. There doesn't seem to be much to do in town, but it's very close to Tsumago-juku and Magome-juku. The area is beautiful to relax in.

Just 40 metres from restored Edo-era post town Magome-Juku, Chaya Hotel has simple traditional rooms with futon bedding and a tatami-mat floor.
