.This was the best place I stayed in Japan, so much I asked to extend my stay. The room was incredibly big for a Japanese hotel, the bed was comfy and heated. The common area allowed me to connect and meet people while still enjoy the private of my own bedroom and bathroom. I will definitely come back if given the chance

Owners were warm and friendly. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, and even cut us fruits to eat when we go back from a long day of exploring Kyoto. Very central location yet quiet enough away from the main street.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Location is in a residential area, making it a quiet respite after a whole day of sightseeing, while still being conveniently close to the center. Breakfast was also tasty and kindly brought into the room daily. Emiko-san and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. She even gave me a ride to Kyoto Station on my last day and always checked on me daily to see how I was. Very kind family. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

The house is near Kyoto station and bus stops. The room was clean, comfortable and very convenient. The host and the staffs are are so kindness and helpful. A male staff drove us to the Kyoto Station when all taxies were unavailable and another female wrapped our paper bag by plastic bag because it was raining. I highly appreciate these people this place, and will continue to stay here when I come back to Kyoto.

Spacious, nice apartment. Well equipped. Marutamachi station is near. Quiet street. We had the apartment on the ground floor. Street noise was OK, I slept well. We had the possibility to store our luggages. Staff was nice and helpful.
