We absolutely loved our stay at Haruka house! We felt very warmly welcomed by our hosts who gave us great tips for Kyoto and were very helpful and warmhearted throughout our stay. Couldn't think of a better place to stay in Kyoto. And of course the cats were adorable! The location was also very convenient near several public transportation lines to the key sights. The calm neighbourhood gave a great escape from the buzz of the city.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Location is in a residential area, making it a quiet respite after a whole day of sightseeing, while still being conveniently close to the center. Breakfast was also tasty and kindly brought into the room daily. Emiko-san and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. She even gave me a ride to Kyoto Station on my last day and always checked on me daily to see how I was. Very kind family. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

If i could give them more than 10 i would say 100. The room is pretty simple, nothing that fancy or expensive but the owners are so kind and welcoming. They were super kind and helpful, the whole stay at the inn was more than awesome. The best hotel of my stay in Japan

Spacious, nice apartment. Well equipped. Marutamachi station is near. Quiet street. We had the apartment on the ground floor. Street noise was OK, I slept well. We had the possibility to store our luggages. Staff was nice and helpful.

This was a really sweet property, it felt special to be able to stay in a more “authentic” property and the location was also great for what we wanted to do in Kyoto. It was clean and well appointed, we really enjoyed our stay!

It’s in a quite area where you can reach there by bus only. Bus runs very frequently but it takes 1 hour to go to city. There are markets and restaurants. Some close early. Closest pub is 15 min by walk. Room is super cozy, they offer free bikes. There is venting machine outside.

Absolutely fantastic. Authentic ryokan with the most welcoming hosts. The owner drove us to the train station in his car - so nice!! Breakfast was fantastic, the room was wonderful!!
