Host is extremely friendly and ready to suggest local restaurants and other places to go. Large room was comfortable and AC worked good. Loved the little onsen bath. The location was beautiful, hidden off the historic road lined by giant cedar trees.

Marieko is a marvellous host. It is like coming home your the parents. She even took us back to the station with our huge luggage. Staying at her house is not so much about luxury or amenities. It is more about being well taken care of. Location wise only 8 minute walk from Tobu Nikko station so a good base to explore the area. Good price quality ratio.

Super nice stay during our 3 weeks travel to Japan, one of the best. We felt really taken care by the owners of this hotel, significantly above any expectations. Really kind people who work there! Felt so welcoming. The bed was really comfortable. They helped me planning my day out and gave me tips. They hosted a night for us to learn about Japan and the culture. Close to the station! Def reccomend.

Host made a very good effort to keep the bugs out. The terrace was nice, and had a good spot for parking. House was clean and cozy, especially with the lighting. Host was attentive and cared about our stay.
