The proprietor Yamada-san was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The guesthouse was charming and had everything you could want. Yamada-san recommended an excellent okonomiyaki restaurant down the street and even walked me most of the way there to make sure I found it. I’d happily stay here again!

I loved the cozy atmosphere of the house. The host was very friendly and nice and the house cats were wonderful companions in the evenings. Bed was super comfy and the room was very spacious. If I'm back to Takamatsu I will surely stay at Guesthouse Yashima again ☺️ Thank you for your hospitality.

We have stayed at locations with high and low price tags. for VALUE FOR MONEY and THE EXPERIENCE, this place is a 10. Quite neighborhood close to the sea, $3 use of a lovely onsen close by, nature sounds, large tatami mat bedroom, we had a great night's sleep in this 1880s lovely traditional Japanese home.
