A pleasant and quiet place to spend a few days. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The room and kitchen are equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful pension in a beautiful spot on Namhae. I don’t know how crowded it gets in summer, but in May the place is just amazing. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly, they took the time to explain the reason of the pension’s name and showed us their beautiful garden with more the 200 types of flowers. The view from the room is incredible.

The pension was clean and comfortable, the kitchen has a kettle , toaster, rice cooker, there were pots and pans and essential cutlery. Ample size fridge and freezer. Bed was very comfortable. View was spectacular. Outside seating area was comfy and you could sit at night with the provided. Light and barbeque if you wanted. Bathroom was spacious,lots of towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo etc provided. The food kit came with a good variety of basic foods including fruit, milk, butter and bread. The cafe onsite had boardgames available along side coffee machine and ice-cream.

We booked this place on the basis that we will be renting a car but we had issues at the airport so ultimately couldn't rent a car. The location is very remote so please ensure you have a car. We had an amazing stay here. The hosts were incredibly generous, invited us for dinner on our first night, they even drove us around as we did not have a car. The host even drove us to the bus terminal to get tickets and then the next day dropped us off to catch the bus. Its a beautiful villa overlooking a busy shipping route so views are stunning at any time of the day or night. I would highly recommend this place.

It is a lovely home located in a quiet neighborhood called American Village. Space for sleeping had a homey vibe with comfortable and wide beds. It was supposed to be a shared space and though there are no physical dividers, there was enough space between beds for privacy. Hosts were welcoming- let me check in as soon as I arrived in the morning, helped me with the bus schedule to Daraengi Village & intercity terminal and briefly walked me through the house. Location is accessible as it is within walking distance to a bus stop and a 7Eleven.

If you visit Namhae this is a really good and beautiful place to start seeing all the beautiful things Namhae has to offer. However Namhae can be quite challenging to travel, because the busses don't drive that often as in the rest of Korea, it would be helpful to rent a car. The host also understands the struggle and was willing to help us with everything from the moment we arrived! (Do take notice that we were the only guests at the time we were there!) He drove us to the nearest supermarket and would share the bus times afterwards, but came back and told us he wanted that we made the most out of our trip to Namhae and would be our personal driver and show us around! This was such a lovely gesture and he wouldn't take no for an answer. We saw everything we wanted to see in Namhae thanks to the host(s). After he showed us around he made sure we could bbq everything we bought from the supermarket. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us! If we ever visit Korea again we would definitely come back to this place!

So beautiful, we had the small private mini house in front of the house which was beautiful, with everything you need, could live there. The owner had a kitten and a dog, she saw how much we loved them so she brought them out for us to say bye to when we were leaving. She doesn’t speak English, so you need to know Korean, or talk to the neighbor that is fluent in English, we speak some Korean so it was fine, but the neighbor came and spoke English to us.

Out of all our stays in Korea, we liked the Grim hotel the most. The character, charm and warm hospitality, including prompt response, and importantly the ability to communicate in English will ensure another visit. It isn’t your normal commercial accomodation. When we checked in the host and entrance area contained unique items and books giving it that warm welcome feeling. The location is central shops and restaurants all within walking distance. A good sleep was assured given the comfortable bed, clean linen and sparkling clean room. This is a well recommended stop over if travelling to the very south of South Korea. I
