Breakfast and dinners were fantastic 🥳 Can highly recommend both the devilled fish and fish curry. The design of the bedroom, bathroom and balcony was really tasteful and very well done as bungalow style. The fantastic garden making you feel in a different world was a treat. Not to mention the beach which was less than 500 meter away 🌊. A perfect beach if you like a bit of space, and not overcrowded by tourists and hotels and restaurants sitting on the beach front. The staff were really attentive and nice and Mr Nelson’s helpfulness and care made my stay fantastic. Last thing, I want to emphasize was the cleanliness of the garden and especially my bungalow. Having travelled in Sri Lanka for 3 weeks, living at more than 12 different hotels, La Perla stood out on all parameters.

Located in a quiet area of town, a few minutes walk away from the main road, beach, and bus stops. Our room was comfortable and perfectly clean with a nice hot shower. The breakfast was delicious. Lovely and welcoming owners!

The best value for money we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka. There is a fridge in the room and big, clean common kitchen available. In the bathroom there are free mini cosmetics. There is a fan, free ac, mosquito net annddd a couch:) The rooms have access to a common balcony, nice to hang out at. Owners are nice and helpful. Location is close to the beach, there are some restaurants around :)

This was a really lovely Homestay. Very clean and comfortable and an excellent location so near to the train station. The family ( Mother and two sons) were so kind and helpful. Breakfasts were fresh and delicious. We were in Sri Lanka for nearly a month, and this was our favourite accomodation. If you are in Bentota, the Welcome Family Guesthouse is to be recommended.

What I liked most was the kindness of friendliness of the fellow local tourists who stayed with us. There were three ladies who became very friendly with us and we shared our food with them. It was a unique experience.

This place is an absolute gem! I arrived here with no expectations and was stunned to find a beautiful, upmarket , immaculately clean villa, 5 minutes walk from the beach . The owner cannot do enough to make your stay memorable which included driving us to a spectacular fish restaurant in his tuk tuk. I had the best nights sleep I’ve had since being here in Sri Lanka in the most fabulous,most enormous four poster bed I’ve ever been in ! Value for money is simply outstanding!

We loved the Red Coconut Villa, everything was perfect. The garden is amazing, like an oasis. Everything is so tastefully done, it couldn’t be better. The beach is across the road, so quiet. The cleanest stay in SL and definitely the best breakfast. I have never seen anything like that, they were filling up two tables for us, every morning there was something interesting. The staff is always cleaning, keeping the place immaculate. The pool is great, we had it for ourselves pretty much. It’s good to have a pool in SL, as the ocean can be a bit rough for swimming. What else, rooms are large and bright, don’t really need insect nets, I’ve not seen many mosquitos around in March, when we were there. The owner was nice, helped us with the payment, so big thank you!
