Had a really lovely , quiet 4 night stay here. The family are lovely , the lady is a great cook ,( we are vegetarian)massive breakfasts!) I'd hurt my wrist prior to arrival and they helped with that too, a bandage and assistance from their neighbour( thanks moyra) They are kind and honest people . Garden is nice for hanging out in too, with birds, chipmunks and a resident ginger mongoose ! .beach is just 5 min walk away ( go through at sea view restaurant) Nice comfy bed with Airton and a fan. Breakfast and dinners were fantastic 🥳 Can highly recommend both the devilled fish and fish curry. The design of the bedroom, bathroom and balcony was really tasteful and very well done as bungalow style. The fantastic garden making you feel in a different world was a treat. Not to mention the beach which was less than 500 meter away 🌊. A perfect beach if you like a bit of space, and not overcrowded by tourists and hotels and restaurants sitting on the beach front. The staff were really attentive and nice and Mr Nelson’s helpfulness and care made my stay fantastic. Last thing, I want to emphasize was the cleanliness of the garden and especially my bungalow. Having travelled in Sri Lanka for 3 weeks, living at more than 12 different hotels, La Perla stood out on all parameters.

Great place to stay in Bentota within a 5 minute walk to the best beach in the area. There are also good eateries around with excellent food and reasonable prices. The rooms at the villa are maintained to the highest standards, very clean, hot water, kitchen, cutlery, complimentary tea/coffee. Channa, the host , and his family are very supportive, helped to arrange airport transfer and some other trips. Strongly recommend.

I absolutely loved this place. It was a 5 min walk to the beach, and cleaner than any place I've stayed in before. The family were incredibly warm and accommodating. I would recommend wholeheartedly.
