Absolutely amazing stay at Surf Lodge! We felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived. The food at the cafe is so delicious and the staff were extremely friendly! We had unforgettable couple of days and felt like we are at home! You can access the beach from the beautiful garden, there was a yoga class in the morning and also if you would like some other activities just ask the staff! The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom that was outside was a great experience :) Definitely recommend the place and can’t wait to come back again! Thank you!

The room and bathroom are super clean. So new! Perfect natural light to the room. AC works well. Comfy bed. Strong water pressure and warm water. I really like they have a peaceful outdoor area outside of the room. The owner is very polite and helpful. They provid really good Sri Lankan breakfast. Very close to beach but located in a very quiet area. I have two good resting in this lovely guesthouse.

I can really recommend this hotel! It’s super new and really high-quality – you can tell a lot of thought went into the details. The architecture is amazing, with high ceilings and a great design that makes the space feel so welcoming. The bed was incredibly comfortable, I slept like a baby. The location is perfect, everything you need is just a short distance away. I also loved how easy it was to communicate via WhatsApp – super smooth and quick. The host was so friendly and attentive, you really feel at home. And the sense of security was great, I felt safe and taken care of the whole time.

Extremely welcoming and helpful family. Lovely property with nice new fresh rooms. I was stuck with nowhere to stay due to a misunderstanding. They took me in late at night, I had no bags with me, they gave me PJ's which was honestly such a lovely lovely thing to do. The breakfast the next-day was gorgeous. Dhal, sambol, potato curry, hoppers, the lot!! 2 types of desert. Genuinely lovely people. AND THEIR DOG!!! omg, the cutest fluff Ball I've ever seen.

It was wonderful to know that my stay was part of something meaningful, helping fund education, healthcare, and essentials for those in need. The location is ideal for exploring southern Sri Lanka, with Polhena Beach just a short distance away, perfect for snorkeling and enjoying the calm waters. Mirissa is also close by, offering exciting whale-watching tours. The guesthouse itself is peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. While they don’t serve meals, great local dining options are just a short walk away, making it easy to explore Sri Lankan cuisine. Overall, Sheru Guest provided me with a genuine cultural experience and a sense of home. It’s perfect for travelers who want an affordable, impactful, and authentic stay in Sri Lanka.
